MANILA - Actor Jerome Ponce revealed that he still loves his former girlfriend Elisse Joson.

On Sunday's episode of "Pinoy Big Brother," Ponce shared his side in their failed relationship.

According to Ponce, he and Joson met on the set of "Be Careful With My Heart." They did not like each other at first, but after spending some time together, the two developed a liking for each other.

However, he had to keep their relationship under wraps because he has just started with his career.

"Sabi lang sa akin na bawal daw ako mag-girlfriend. Sumusunod naman po, pero siyempre gusto ko rin naman sundin 'yung kaligayahan ko," Ponce said.

He eventually admitted his relationship with Joson after her mother learned about it.

"Hanggang sa dumating 'yung point na nalaman ng Mama niya. Gusto naman nung nanay na patunayan na ipagmamalaki ko 'yung anak niya. Gusto daw niya para sa anak niya hindi 'yung ikinakahiya. Ginawan ko po ng paraan 'yun, pinost ko sa social media ko na mahal na mahal ko si Elise. Natuwa naman 'yung nanay niya," Ponce said.

However, his fans started bashing Joson, which prompted her parents to ask them to break up.

"Hanggang dumating na naman sa point na sobrang nangbabash na po 'yung mga fans. Na-offend na po 'yung Mama niya. Pinaghiwalay na po kami ng tuluyan," Ponce said.

"Kaya hindi ko rin po alam 'yung gagawin ko basta ang alam ko maghihintay lang po ako ng tamang panahon," he added.

When asked about his feelings for Joson, Ponce said: "Hindi naman nagbabago 'yun eh. Mahal ko pa rin 'yung tao na 'yun siyempre."

"Gusto kong sabihin sa kanya na ito lang ako na willing kong ibigay ang buong buhay ko para sa kanya. Kung man ang meron ako, kahit kailanganin pa ng isa pang buhay," Ponce added.

According to Ponce, he is not expecting an answer from Joson, but just wants her to be happy.

It was announced on Saturday that Ponce will be entering "PBB" as a celebrity house guest.

Ponce told the hosts of "PBB" that he planned to apologize to Joson, who broke down in tears when she talked about their split.

According to Joson, Ponce broke up with her because he wanted to concentrate on work.

"Sa totoo lang po, kapag nakikita ko po siya ay naalala ko po iyong dati," Joson shared. "Kahit na -try ko po siya tingan as ngayon, hindi ko pa rin po magawa."

Asked for his response to Joson's confession, Ponce said: "Never ko naman siyang kinahiya."
