MANILA -- A festive celebration turned tragic after Police Insp. Hector Mercurio (Cesar Montano) gunned down General Delfin S. Borja (Jaime Fabregas) as he was celebrating his birthday with his family in Monday's episode of "Ang Probinsyano."

Hector, who was able to escape arrest in Friday's episode, was already in the house of Lolo Delfin, when the old man received a call from his sister, Flora (Susan Roces), asking him to come over to their house.

Lolo Delfin was then welcomed with a surprise birthday party, while Hector went to a nearby building to prepare for the kill.

Just as Lolo Delfin and his family and friends were celebrating, Hector took his shot, aiming at Lolo Delfin's chest.
