MANILA – Filipino teen dance troupe Junior New System brought honor to the Philippines anew after winning major awards at this year’s World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA).

The competition was held at Long Beach, California from July 8 to 17.

According to WCOPA’s page, the dance group was named the 2016 Senior Grand Champion Performer of the World beating several others in the category.

The Filipinos were also awarded the 2016 Champion Dance Group of the World.

In their official Facebook page, Junior New System shared a video of their performance which has already garnered over 26,000 views in less than 24 hours.

The group also thanked all their supporters who rooted for them in the competition.

Last year, Junior New System also made headlines as one of the nine finalists in the pan-Asian regional talent search “Asia’s Got Talent.”
