MANILA -- Almost a week after Daniel Padilla revealed the real score between him and rumored girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo, the 20-year-old actress clarified what "exclusively dating" means.

In an interview with Push, Bernardo said she is relieved when Padilla took the initiative to clarify their relationship.

“Ang hirap kasi kapag ‘yung girl ang nagsasalita eh,” she said.

According to Bernardo, she is also happy that their fans now have a deeper understanding of what is going on between the two of them.

"At least ngayon, alam na nila kung saan kami nanggagaling,” she quipped.

When asked what "exclusively dating" means for her, Bernardo said: "Exclusive kami para sa isa’t-isa. Parang hindi ka na open kapag aayain ka lumabas ng iba or anything."

Padilla and Bernardo are set to star in an upcoming Star Cinema movie, which was mostly shot in Barcelona. It is expected to be their "most mature" project to date.
