No more nude scenes for Mercedes Cabral
Enough is enough.
This is actress Mercedes Cabral’s new battle cry against sexy movie offers.
Cabral has started begging off movies with nude scenes. She started with Maui Taylor’s latest movie “Tigasan.”
Dennis Adobas said when he asked Cabral if she wanted to fill in a sexy role in the movie, where she was slated to do a love scene with stud Kristofer King, the sexy actress simply replied, “Ano na naman ‘yan? Hubaran na naman?”
Abodas said he took Cabral’s reply as a sign that she was declining the offer and he decided not to pursue her anymore.
The manager said his ward could have been trying to shift from the sexy scene to more mature roles.
Cabral had no single nude scene in the 2009 Cannes Film Festival main derby entry “Kinatay (The Execution of P),” unlike her first Brillante Mendoza film “Serbis,” which was also an entry to the same film festival last year.
The actress was so proud of herself coming up with a movie without taking off a single piece of cloth from her body.
Among the “unshown” digital movies Cabral did were “Booking” and “Latak.” In both movies, she did steamy roles.
“Very memorable po sa akin ang hospital scene ko sa ‘Latak’ where I ran around the corridors topless because I was supposedly suffering from emotional disability and neurosis because of too much dependence on drugs,” Cabral noted.
