MANILA - The first trailer for "Till I Met You" has started speculation that the teleserye starring Kapamilya stars James Reid and Nadine Lustre will tackle the subject of gay romance.

The promo, which originally debuted during ABS-CBN's trade show held Monday, opens with Sebastian (Reid) and Iris (Lustre) about to get married. The clip reveals that the two met through Alejandro, their common friend portrayed by theater actor JC Santos.

"Siya iyong ideal man ko talaga pero hindi ako iyong ideal girl niya eh," Iris muses about her past with Alejandro. She then hints that Alejandro has someone else in his heart, just as Sebastian opens his wedding gift from their friend.

"May iba yata siyang gusto," Iris adds.

A small text that read, #LoveWins, decked in the rainbow colors often used to symbolize the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) community then appears on the lower right side of the video, further suggesting that Alejandro is in love with Sebastian.

In past interviews, both Reid and Lustre shared that their new show, directed by Antoinette Jadaone, will be more "mature" than their previous outing, "On the Wings of Love" (OTWOL).

Reid went as far as to saying that the story in "Till I Met You" is better than "OTWOL," a kilig-filled romantic series that touched on the plight of overseas Filipino workers and concluded last February to strong ratings.
