MANILA - While she remained mum about the reason behind her split from Cavite Vice-Governor Jolo Revilla, actress Jodi Sta. Maria may have provided a clue when she was asked about the biggest lesson she learned about love.

Sta. Maria, in an interview on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" to promote her upcoming film "The Achy Breaky Hearts," said that a woman should know her own worth and value, adding: "Loving yourself isn't selfish at all."

"We should never apologize for having high standards in love, because the right man, or the man who really wants to be in your life will rise up to meet those standards," she explained.

Sta. Maria and Revilla had confirmed their breakup. The two, however, refused to elaborate, with Revilla saying that there is a right place and time to talk about his personal life.

Meanwhile, Sta. Maria, still speaking on "Tonight with Boy Abunda," admitted that she is not yet ready to date again following her failed relationship with Revilla.

"But I know that when the time is right, I will," said Sta. Maria, who insisted that she is "happy" at the moment.

Sta. Maria was accompanied by her "The Achy Breaky Hearts" co-star Ian Veneracion, who had to answer a series of questions --about the film and personal, including one where he had to list down Sta. Maria's best traits.

Directed by Antoinette Jadaone, "The Achy Breaky Hearts" will hit theaters nationwide on June 29.
