MANILA - Television host Luis Manzano has denied a report claiming that he is in a relationship with actress Jessy Mendiola.

According to Philippine Star entertainment editor and columnist Ricky Lo, citing an unnamed source, Manzano and Mendiola "are already an item."

"As much as I love Kuya Ricky, it's 100 percent untrue," said Manzano, 35, in a statement sent to entertainment website Pep and aired on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" on Tuesday.

Rumors about Manzano and Mendiola's romance began when the latter posted a photo on her Instagram account, for Manzano's birthday, of her with the host of "The Voice Kids."

"Salamat sa pagpapatawa sa akin everyday! Hindi ka lang semi-guwapo. Sobrang guwapo mo na kahit lahat ng guwapo sa mundo ay pag pinagsama-sama, hindi uubra sa iyo. Ikaw na talaga yan," the actress wrote as the caption.

Manzano and Mendiola are currently single. Manzano broke up with actress Angel Locsin early this year, while Mendiola has called off her relationship --for a second time-- with actor JM de Guzman.
