MANILA -- Singer-actor Michael Pangilinan on Monday admitted that he is currently in a relationship with singer Garie Concepcion.

Garie is the daughter of veteran actor Gabby Concepcion with former wife Grace Ibuna.

In an interview with Boy Abunda, Pangilinan did not hesitate to reveal the real score between him and the singer, whom he considers as his inspiration.

"Ayoko ng paligoy-ligoy," he said.

According to Pangilinan, having a girlfriend does not hinder him from providing support for his baby.

"Kung may ayaw sa akin dahil hindi ako perfect, eh okay lang. Ang pagkakaroon ng isang pagmamahalan or isang kabiyak ng puso, hindi naman kapag sinabi mo 'yan wala ka nang pakialam sa iba," he said.

He added that he and Concepcion inspire each other in achieving their dreams.

While their courtship process took long, Pangilinan said it was all worth it in the end because he found strong support from Concepcion's family.

He said the Concepcion family does not look down on him.

Pangilinan stars with Edgar Allan Guzman in the movie adaptation of hit song "Pare Mahal Mo Raw Ako," which will premiere on Tuesday at Cinema 10, SM Megamall.
