MANILA - "Para sa akin, kaya niya," feisty talent manager Annabelle Rama said when asked about whether she believes presumptive president Rodrigo Duterte can suppress criminality in the country in just six months.

"Kaya niya 'yung sinasabi niya na three to six months na wala nang krimen, kayang-kaya niya iyan," insisted the 63-year-old Rama, a supporter of the tough-talking Davao City mayor who has been vocal about his promise during the campaign period.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Rama also voiced out her support for Duterte's plan to impose a curfew on minors as well as a nationwide liquor ban as part of efforts to curb crime.

"Okay rin sa akin para maiba naman, pagbabago. Kailangan natin iyon eh," Rama reasoned. "Kasi marami diyan 'yung mga corrupt. 'Yung mga drug pusher, dealer dapat diyan, mga killer, mga kidnapper, dapat matapos na talaga 'yan. Kailangan natin ng matapang na presidente."

The liquor ban was imposed in Davao after the mayor saw a correlation between drunkenness and crime as well as road accidents.

The ordinance prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. The curfew, on the other hand, will start at 10 p.m. but it will only affect unaccompanied minors.

Asked about whether she met Duterte last Monday for a government position, she replied: "Ayaw ko naman na basta ka na lang magkaroon ka ng position na wala ka namang ginagawa. Eh 'di titirahin ka pa diyan, hindi ba? Wala akong hiningi."
