She has largely stayed off the radar since leaving showbiz.

And if you're wondering what Carol Banawa was up to, you'd be pleased to know that she has spent her time away from the limelight working on her nursing degree in the US.

Sounding like a proud relative, music talent manager David Cosico shared the happy news on Facebook this Friday that the former Kapamilya singer is set to graduate summa cum laude.

He did not reveal, however, where Banawa is graduating from. Banawa was similarly secretive, posting on Instagram her invitation to her "pinning ceremony" but cropped out the name of her university.

It was back in September last year when Banawa first shared her journey to become a registered nurse.

Prior to leaving showbiz, she was best known for her hits "Bakit 'Di Totohanin," "Iingatan Ka," and "Till My Heartaches End." She also performed theme songs for several teleseryes.

Banawa is currently living in the US. She is married to her husband, Ryan Crisostomo, and have two kids.
