MANILA - JC de Vera could not hide his excitement working again with his previous on-screen partner Jessy Mendiola.

In an interview with Push, de Vera said he is thankful to have another project with Mendiola because he is already comfortable working with her.

"Masarap talaga sa pakiramdam na meron kang katrabaho na sobrang komportable ka, 'yung walang issues. 'Pag nasa work lang kayo talagang masaya lang kayo, komportable at wala na kayong iniisip na iba," the actor said.

De Vera and Mendiola will star in the upcoming "Wansapanataym" installment "Just Got Laki," which will start airing on Sunday.

Although the two already dismissed rumors linking them romantically, the young actor cannot help but praises and offer romantic gestures to the actress.

This is why fans of their on-screen tandem continue to wonder if there is a chance for them to become a real-life couple.

For de Vera, what's important is to preserve their friendship.

"I’m sure 'yung mga taong nakapaligid sa amin nakikita rin na we’re both relaxed and we’re both steady. Pero proud ako kasi never pa kami nag-away or ayaw namin na maging magkatrabaho alam mo 'yun. Kasi ang sarap lang sa pakiramdam na nagtatrabaho ka ng magaan," he added.

Despite this, de Vera thinks Mendiola would make a good partner.

"Siyempre along the way nakikilala mo ng mas deeper kasi nga 'yun nga, ino-observe ko lang siya everyday na ganun. Girlfriend material siya," he said.
