MANILA- Actress-host Pauleen Luna is pregnant with her first child, her husband Vic Sotto announced Saturday.

Sotto made the announcement in a typical light-hearted manner on noontime show Eat Bulaga!

"Gusto ko pong i-announce sa Pilipinas at sa buong mundo na buntis ako, hindi po ako, ang aking asawa," he said.

The comedian also asked for prayers for his wife's successful pregnancy.

'Ang amin pong hiling ay dasal para sa magiging tagumpay ng aming..." he said.

In an Instagram post, Luna expressed her excitement to be a mother.

"Finally, a bun in the oven! Can't be more proud and excited to be a mom 👶🏻 thank you to my handsome for surprising me with this announcement 😂 THANK YOU LORD FOR BEING SO GRACIOUS!" she said.

No further details regarding Luna's pregnancy were announced.

This is Luna's first pregnancy. Sotto, on the other hand, has 4 other children from his previous relationships.

Sotto tied the knot with Luna last year in a wedding ceremony held at St. James The Great Parish Church in Alabang.
