It was in 2015 when she first opened up about not seeing her father, Lito Lapid. Three years on, and it looks like things still haven't changed between Ysabel Ortega and her dad.

The teen actress was in tears as she told of her father ignoring her birthday and holiday greetings, and how she misses him.

"I always think of my dad so whenever it's his birthday, I always make it a point to greet him," she shared on "Tonight With Boy Abunda Wednesday night." "And every holidays, lagi ko pa rin po binabati."

Asked if she gets replies to her messages, sent through Lapid's aide because she has no direct contact with him, Ortega said no.

But despite the cold shoulder, she maintained that she still loves her dad and that she respects him for being one of the reasons that made her decide to pursue a career in showbiz.

"Papa, if you're watching, I really miss you and nandito lang po ako. No matter what happens I will always be here, I will always be your daughter, I will always love you, and I will always have respect for you," she told him.

Ortega, daughter of Michelle Ortega with Lapid, is best known for her role in "On the Wings of Love," topbilled by Nadine Lustre and James Reid in 2015.

She was on the late-night talk show to promote the first week of "Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Araw Gabi." She is part of the cast with Hashtags member Paulo Angeles.

The drama is topbilled by JM de Guzman and Barbie Imperial.
