Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla's "Can't Help Falling in Love" reached the P200-million mark on Friday.

The comedy summer movie about strangers who accidentally sign a marriage a contract hit the box-office milestone two weeks after its Black Saturday premiere.

This, despite facing stiff competition from Hollywood offerings such as "The Fast of the Furious 8" and "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2".

"Can't Help Falling in Love" is Bernardo and Padilla's follow-up to the Olivia Lamasan-directed drama "Barcelona: A Love Untold," which raked in a total box-office haul of P321 million.

Helmed by Mae Cruz-Alviar, the movie has been described as a return to the "rom-com roots" of the popular love team.
