MANILA – Masculados member Orlando Sol has embarked on a solo career, with the release of his first studio album and an online drama series in the works.

Sol’s album “Emosyon” contains five original songs with the carrier single “Kailan Darating ang Ayoko Na.”

Star Music released the official music video of the Sol’s single on YouTube and on music channel MYX last week, serving as a preview of the upcoming series and a teaser of the singer’s ballad album.

Meanwhile, his upcoming series, which also has the same title, will start airing on Star Music’s YouTube channel on April 28 at 6 p.m. The succeeding episodes of the five-part series will be shown on May 5, 12, 19 and 26.

It is produced by Production 56 and directed by Maryo J. De Los Reyes, the blockbuster director known for hit films such as “Magnifico,” “The Unmarried Wife” and “A Love Story.”

In a statement, Sol said he is excited for his first solo venture, referring to this opportunity as an “accident.”

He was first introduced as a Masculados member eight years ago. More opportunities came his way when he recorded the song “Ingatan Mo ang Salitang Mahal Kita,” which eventually led him to pursue a dream of having his own album.

Sol’s current album is now available online at Spotify, iTunes, and Apple Music, and will soon be available in record stores nationwide.
