Good news for fans of "Ang Probinsyano," as it has been confirmed that the hit primetime series will not be airing a finale anytime soon.

The police drama, based on the 1997 Fernando Poe Jr. film of the same name, has been running since 2015 and has been highly praised by viewers.

It continues to rake in viewers, consistently topping the list of most watched shows in the country, according to data from Kantar Media — a feat that didn't go unnoticed with ABS-CBN Chief Operating Officer of broadcast Cory Vidanes, revealing Friday night that the show has been extended until January 2018.

The announcement was made during a party attended by the cast, led by Coco Martin.
