MANILA – Michelle Van Eimeren turned emotional during her appearance on “Magandang Buhay” after she saw the heartwarming message Ogie Alcasid made for her and their two daughters, Leila and Sarah.

In a pre-recorded video aired Thursday, Alcasid said he is happy that they all got to spend some time here in the Philippines.

He also thanked Van Eimeren for trusting him and his wife, Regine Velasquez, to take care of Leila while she is in the country.

“Michelle, thank you so much for the trust that you have given Regine and I,” he said. “It matters to us that you trust us and we love you so dearly for that.”

Unable to stop her tears, Van Eimeren said she is fortunate to have both Alcasid and Velasquez as Leila’s second set of parents.

“Napakahirap sa isang nanay magpaalam sa anak. Pero sa pagmamahal ko sa kanya, kailangang i-support siya para hanapin ang dreams niya. Siyempre, proud naman ako. Hindi masyadong mahirap kasi alam ko naman na nandito yung isang set ng magulang niya. Napakabait ni Reg. Mahal na mahal ko siya,” she said.

Van Eimeren said she appreciates how Velasquez would always be by Leila’s side whenever she needs something.

“Kapag meron siyang (Leila) problema, kapag meron siyang kailangan at masyado akong malayo, nandoon siya (Regine) sa tabi niya kaagad. Ite-text niya sa akin or itatawag niya sa akin kaagad. Alam ko I can trust her with my daughters,” Van Eimeren said.

The former beauty queen likewise lauded Alcasid for being a responsible father.

“Napakabait na tatay noon. Malambot ang puso niya. Yung family namin, gusto namin maging close at supportive kami sa isa’t isa para sa mga anak namin kasi sila ang pinakaimportante sa buhay namin,” she said.

Van Eimeren is based in Australia where her two daughters were born and raised.
