MANILA – Alex Gonzaga’s comment on Isabelle Daza’s pregnant photo drew mixed reactions from netizens, prompting the two stars to clear the air.

The issue began when Daza shared on Instagram on Tuesday her photo prior to giving birth but with her hair uncombed.

To which, Gonzaga commented, “Sana nagsuklay ka.”

Daza responded to the Kapamilya host’s remark and explained that she was sporting a messy look but Gonzaga “wouldn’t understand.”

While some netizens who are used to Gonzaga’s humor found her comment funny, there were also those she was tactless.

Before more people misinterpret their exchange, Daza and Gonzaga took it upon themselves to say that they were merely joking.

“To everyone making this an issue, please Google the definition of a joke,” Daza said on her Instagram story before providing the word’s actual meaning.

Gonzaga, for her part, took a screen capture of a past conversation that she had with Daza, proving that they are indeed good friends.

“Yes, kahit jologs siya, friends kami. This is the only text convo I can show,” she wrote.

Unknown to some, Gonzaga and Daza go way back. The “It Girl” even featured Gonzaga in one of her vlog entries in January last year where they talked about each other’s habits and taste.
