MANILA – Antoinette Jadaone finally broke her silence about her alleged misunderstanding with Nadine Lustre and James Reid, whom she directed in her latest movie “Never Not Love You.”

This after filmmaker Cathy Garcia Molina cited Jadaone and Dan Villegas in a Twitter post where she talked about the supposed work ethic of the two young stars based on what she heard from her colleagues.

In an interview on Wednesday, Jadaone said her relationship with Lustre and Reid was not strained at all because they got the chance to talk even before the issue got blown out of proportion.

Actually nasa soap nga ako noon, nagdi-direct ako noon. Tawagan kita.’

Molina has since offered her apologies for her controversial Twitter post, saying she had no intention whatsoever to demean anyone.

What matters, Jadaone stressed, is that all parties remain in good terms despite what has been reported.

Meanwhile, the director said she is very pleased with Lustre’s and Reid’s performances in “Never Not Love You.”

“Sobrang natuwa ako sa ‘Never Not Love You.’

As of Wednesday, the movie already earned P77 million. “Never Not Love You” opened in cinemas nationwide on March 31.
