Sarah Geronimo is tagged as the country’s “Pop Star Royalty” for a reason.

One day after the release of her new single “Ganito,” the track from the acclaimed singer immediately topped the iTunes Philippines’ singles chart.

It is also now available on the music streaming channel Spotify.

As of writing, Geronimo’s music label, Viva Records, has yet to reveal whether “Ganito,” as well as her other single “Sandata,” will be part of an upcoming album.

The new song was composed for Geronimo by Nica del Rosario, who also wrote the singer’s massive hit “Tala” from her 2015 album “The Great Unknown.”

On top of a recording comeback, Geronimo is hard at work on a new movie, “Miss Granny,” co-starring James Reid. It is slated for release this year under Viva Films.

Geronimo will also be back in the concert scene to celebrate her 15th anniversary in show business. Titled “This Is Me,” the show will be held at the Araneta Coliseum
