MANILA -- Anne Curtis is ready to kick butt as she started shooting her latest movie, the action-filled "Buy Bust" for director Erik Matti.

According to Matti, they have been working on "Buy Bust," which he considers his "first full on action film," since last year.

"We have been working on this as early as mid-2016 finding a good mix of actors, training, pre-sales, test shoots, storyboards, training, pre-vis, look tests, set construction, training finding the right balance between budget ambition and resources," Matti, whose past films included the acclaimed flicks "On The Job," "Seklusyon" and "Honor Thy Father," said in a social media post, which was shared by Curtis on Instagram.

Aside from Curtis, the movie also stars Filipino-American MMA star Brandon Vera.

To prepare for the film, which Matti described as "zombie apocalypse without monsters," Curtis underwent kali martial arts training, especially since she wants to do all her stunts herself.

"It's ambitious and it's a scary challenge for all of us," Matti, who is also directing the much-awaited Darna movie, admitted.

"We want to do this right. We prepared for a lengthy period of time, as should be. We didn't want to figure things out on the set, as should be. We are shooting the 16th draft of the script. Looking forward to a roller coaster bloody insane and chaotic shoot. And with the cast staff and crew we put together, we'll get through this alive!" he said.
