MANILA - Actor Kristoffer "Ian" de Leon has turned into a real-life hero to a 10-year-old boy, who was hit by a motorcycle while riding his bike last Monday.

In a Facebook post, Kristine Madrigal Sarmiento, the mother of the 10-year-old boy, expressed her gratitude to De Leon, who rushed her son to an emergency room following the accident.

"He was the only one who came to the rescue of a total stranger while all the other people just passed by and looked at my bloody and [helpless] 10-year-old son, who was alone when the incident happened," she wrote.

"Such an act of kindness should be emulated by everyone. Not too many good Samaritans around anymore," added Sarmiento, who also asked for help in contacting De Leon to personally thank him.

In the comments section of her post, Sarmiento shared that her son is "okay" and under observation following a "major surgery." She also said she has already managed to speak with De Leon.

De Leon is the son of showbiz veterans Nora Aunor and Christopher de Leon.
