MANILA — Three love teams are set to star in the upcoming series "Kung Kailangan Mo Ako" by Dreamscape Entertainment.

On Wednesday night, Dreamscape unveiled the cast, led by veteran actors John Estrada, Eula Valdez, and Mylene Dizon.

"Kung Kailangan Mo Ako" will also feature three of the country's hottest love teams: Elmo Magalona and Janella Salvador, Mccoy de Leon and Elisse Joson, and Nash Aguas and Alexa Ilacad. Joshua Garcia, who plays a key character on afternoon drama series "The Greatest Love," is also part of the cast.

While Dreamscape opted not to disclose anything specific about the storyline, veteran filmmaker Manny Palo, the main director of the series, said the theme will be familiar.

"It's a family drama, pero siyempre lahat naman ng teleserye laging may love story 'yan. At the core of any teleserye is the love story, 'di ba? Pero siyempre, mas magiging exciting ang drama kapag involved 'yong drama ng pamilya," Palo told ABS-CBN News in an exclusive interview.

Palo added that he is excited to work with the cast, especially because they come from different generations.

"Napaka-exciting ng bagong project na inihain ng Dreamscape, kasi mga bagong artista at bagong kumbinasyon. They combined 'yong mga pinakamagagaling nating artista," he said.

According to Palo, the actors are currently undergoing rigid workshops to hone their acting skills and to help them internalize the characters they would portray.

The series' time slot will be announced soon.
