MANILA – Actress Yen Santos has been single for the past three years, but she said she does not mind.

In an interview with entertainment site Push, Santos said she is not in a rush to enter into a new relationship, noting her busy schedule.

She added that she would rather have a serious, long-term relationship instead of having casual dates.

"Wala eh. Busy kasi.

Santos, 25, went on to say that she would rather focus more on her showbiz career.

Among Santos' upcoming projects is the movie "Northern Lights: A Journey To Love," which she headlines along with Pascual.

In this drama from Star Cinema, Pascual plays a father who strives to fix his relationship with his estranged son, portrayed by child actor Raikko Mateo, best known for starring in the inspirational teleserye "Honesto."

This seemingly straightforward father-son movie gets complicated when he falls in love with Santos's character, an admittedly heartbroken woman looking to start fresh in a new country.

"Northern Lights: A Journey To Love" is set in a picturesque town in Alaska, where auroras can be seen frequently.

It is directed by Dondon Santos and will premiere in cinemas nationwide on March 29.
