An opera singer who can perform using male and female vocals wowed the judges in Saturday's episode of "Pilipinas Got Talent."

Edgardo Arrieta Jr., a 31-year-old who hails from Mariveles, Bataan, was a music student at University of Santo Tomas.

He said his late father had always dreamed of him becoming a singer.

Arrieta performed an opera duet singing male and female vocals, amazing the judges and earning him the four yeses he needed to pass the audition round and move on to the next stage.

Hosted by Billy Crawford and Toni Gonzaga, "Pilipinas Got Talent" airs Saturdays after "Home Sweetie Home" and Sundays after "Wansapanataym."
