MANILA - Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd expressed his gratitude to the supporters of the band's fundraising campaign for the victims of super typhoon "Yolanda" (international name: Haiyan).
In a video posted online, the 38-year-old singer thanked everyone who donated to the fundraiser spearheaded by news website RYOT and Incubus' own non-profit organization The Make Yourself Foundation.
"I just wanted to say a quick thank you to all of you who donated to our Philippines fundraiser," he said. "Your response has been absolutely incredible and we can't thank you enough."
"Thank you so much for being part of the solution," he added.
According to RYOT, the fundraiser was able to raise $100,000 (around P4,400,000) for the survivors in the province of Guiuan, Eastern Samar, one of the hardest hit areas of the typhoon.
"We sent $25,000 each to Doctors Without Borders and Waves for Water, then used the rest to build boats for fishermen who lost everything in Guiuan," wrote Lola Haze for the news website.
