MANILA – Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil's latest big-screen outing has already earned $5 million worldwide.
This figure, according to ABS-CBN International, is the box-office take of “My Ex and Whys” on its first week after adding its Philippine gross ($4 million) to its international gross ($1 million) from screenings in the Middle East, Europe, Asia Pacific, the US and Canada.
The Star Cinema movie will also screen in Hong Kong beginning March 5.
"My Ex and Whys" premiered last February 15, earning a whopping P31 million for its first day.
The romance flick about a former playboy wanting to prove to his ex that he's a changed man went on to break the P100-million milestone on February 18.
It now holds the distinction of being the most successful movie topbilled by Gil and Soberano. Their previous movies include "Just the Way You Are" and "Everyday I Love You."
"My Ex and Whys" is directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.
