Sarah Geronimo has started filming her first movie in two years, "Dear Future Husband."

The pop star will be paired with John Lloyd Cruz in the romance flick to be directed by Theodore Boborol, who helmed "Vince & Kath & James," the highest-grossing film of the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Both were photographed on set on Thursday, with Geronimo wearing a wedding gown for one of the scenes.

Not much is known yet about the new movie other than it would be the fourth time Geronimo will play a lead role opposite Cruz.

Geronimo did, however, previously hint that her role will be more mature than her previous outings with Cruz, and that it will tackle the hardships of starting a family.

“Iiwas na sa medyo pabebe. Galing na tayo doon. Doon na tayo sa iyong angkop na sa mga edad namin," she said. "Galing sa title mismo ng pelikula na 'Dear Future Husband,' siyempre dadating sa buhay natin na gusto din natin magkaroon ng sariling pamilya."

The movie will be under Star Cinema. It has been confirmed that it will not be a continuation of Geronimo and Cruz's trilogy of romance movies, namely "A Very Special Love" (2008), "You Changed My Life" (2009), and "It Takes A Man and A Woman" (2013).

Geronimo's last film was with Piolo Pascual, 2015's "The Breakup Playlist."

For his part, Cruz was last seen in "Ang Babaeng Humayo," the acclaimed revenge drama from Lav Diaz that won the highest prize at the 73rd Venice International Film Festival.
