MANILA -- Morissette Amon could not hold her tears as she introduced her idol, Regine Velasquez, as one of her guests in her biggest concert to date, aptly titled "Made."

The 21-year-old Star Music artist was visibly emotional when Velasquez, dubbed "Asia's Songbird," joined her onstage Tuesday night at the Araneta Coliseum, for a duet of Morissette's hit "Akin Ka Na Lang."

The surprise appearance of Velasquez, 47, was met with thunderous applause from the audience, which filled the historic venue to the rafters. A video of their performance was uploaded on YouTube by theater veteran Audie Gemora of Stages.

"You are incredible," Velasquez told a giddy Morissette after their duet. "I am so happy for you. You deserve everything, all of the attention, because you are such a talented young girl. Alam mo, gagaling ka pa."

Velasquez added: "Natutuwa ako na you just waited for your turn, and now this is your turn. I just want to say I think we have produced another superstar."

The "Narito Ako" hitmaker, who is widely regarded as the preeminent "biritera" in local showbiz, also referred to Morissette as the "new queen" when it comes to singing.
