Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil's "My Ex and Whys" is off to a blazing start as it crossed the P100-million mark after just three days since its premiere, producer Star Cinema announced Saturday.

The movie began its run on Wednesday, raking in P31 million and making it the most successful premiere of any movie topbilled by Soberano and Gil. It earned roughly an additional P69 million from Thursday to Saturday afternoon, Star Cinema said.

It's only a matter of time before it beats the overall gross of "Just the Way You Are" and "Everyday I Love You" — the two other movies that starred Gil and Soberano. Both movies each barely surpassed P100 million.

The run of "My Ex and Whys" is more on par with "Barcelona: A Love Untold," which grossed P321 million for Star Cinema worldwide. The romantic drama directed by Olivia Lamasan, was headlined by Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo.

It earned P130 million after five days in cinemas.

According to Star Cinema, "My Ex and Whys" is currently showing in 300 screens nationwide.
