MANILA—The "dad bod" may have become a trend in recent years but Richard Yap, father of two, is far from embracing it.
The "Sana Dalawa Ang Puso" leading man, 50, made his fans swoon when he posted on Instagram a video of him changing shirts.
"Wala nang itatago," he quipped in the caption of the video, apparently taken in his dressing room for a guest appearance on the concert variety show "ASAP" last Sunday.
Yap, who rose to fame in 2012 via "Be Careful with My Heart," has proven his unique appeal as a mature heartthrob with non-stop projects, following the phenomenal daytime series.
"He represents the quintessential gentleman next door. Not boy, gentleman: the educated, the decent, the caring, the well-mannered, the well-spoken," his two-time co-actor Pinky Amador once said in an interview.
These qualities, paired with his toned physique at mid-life, are understandably a huge draw for many viewers of the ongoing "Sana Dalawa ang Puso," where he also bared skin in a recent episode.
