Fans have been seeing the contrasting sides of actor Diego Loyzaga this week.

There's the cheerful persona, which he brought to the pre-recorded episodes of "Minute to Win It." He and his mother, Teresa Loyzaga, were one of the celebrity pairs who took on several of the game show's challenges. They also gamely acted out funny mother-son scenarios for the studio audience.

There's also the irate one, who has been unforgiving in his attacks against his father, Cesar Montano.

And then there's a calm one who talked about the value of family. On Friday's "Minute to Win It," Diego shared: "Kasi siyempre si mom lang ang talagang kasama ko palagi. She taught me how important family is talaga."

Asked for her reply, Teresa told her son: "Kahit ano pang gawin ng mga anak mo, end of the day siya pa rin. Nandito pa rin ako, hindi ako mawawala."

In an earlier text message sent to "Tonight with Boy Abunda," Teresa refused to comment on the recent tirades of Diego, but said her son is her priority at the moment.

On Instagram, Diego called his mother his "angel."
