MANILA - More than a month after getting engaged to her Filipino-British fiance in Boracay, actress Bangs Garcia has revealed their wedding date.

In an interview with Pep on Wednesday, the 28-year-old Garcia said she plans to marry Lloydi Birchmore, a property developer based in London, on January 2017.

She added that the wedding will happen in Boracay. "Kasi dun siya nag-propose at dun kami nagkakilala," she explained.

According to Garcia, she plans to iron out other details with Birchmore next month when her fiance arrives from London.

"He's gonna be here on March, he's gonna talk to a wedding planner. ...Wala pa kaming masyadong plans ngayon. Hindi ko pa alam kung ilang guests, hindi ko pa sure," she admitted.

Asked about whether she will sacrifice her career in the Philippines to live with her fiance abroad, she replied: "I'm just very blessed na sobrang understanding lang nung boyfriend ko."

"He's not selfish. He doesn’t wanna take away what I built here in the Philippines. He's even willing to live here in the Philippines for me."
