ILIGAN CITY—Fifteen ABS-CBN national and regional programs and personalities were recognized in the recently concluded Youth Choice Awards as having the most influence on the youth here.

This year, ABS-CBN bested other media outlets in 15 categories. In the national category, the network was hailed as the best TV station, while "ASAP" won best variety show, "It's Showtime" best noontime show, and "La Luna Sangre" best primetime teleserye.

Kapamilya celebrities were also recognized such as Anne Curtis (best female noontime show host), Vice Ganda (best male noontime show host), Kathryn Bernardo (best female youth model), and Daniel Padilla (best male youth model).

News and current affairs programs such as "TV Patrol" (best evening news program) and "Matanglawin" (best educational program) also clinched trophies.

Noli De Castro was hailed best male news anchor.

The network also bagged several awards in the regional category: "TV Patrol Northern Mindanao" (best regional TV program), Rod Bolivar (best regional male news reporter), PJ dela Peña (best regional news anchor) and Roxanne Arevalo (best regional female news reporter).

The Iligan Youth Choice Awards is an annual event organized by the Youth Advocators Productive Integrated Services Inc. (YAPIS), in which Iliganons aged 15 to 30 years old vote online for individuals and companies that have produced youth awareness and rendered a unique brand of service.
