MANILA - Balladeer Erik Santos is happy for his former girlfriend, sexy comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto, who is now engaged to her non-showbiz boyfriend.

"I think it's time for her to get married. I know she loves her family so much. Grabe na 'yung serbisyong naibigay niya sa pamilya niya. So, this is the right time na sarili naman niya ang intindihin niya and she deserves that, She deserves to be happy," Santos said on Monday after a press conference for his upcoming Valentine's concert "Royals" with Martin Nievera, Regine Velasquez and rumored girlfriend Angeline Quinto.

"Sana lang alagaan talaga siya nung kung sino man ang mapapangasawa niya," he added.

Last Friday, Rufa Mae, who is currently abroad, announced her engagement to Filipino-American Trevor Magallanes.

Santos considers the comedienne his "unforgettable love."

"Unforgettable kasi madami kaming bagay na pinagsamahan and na feel ko din sa kanya 'yung through thick and thin nandiyan siya sa tabi ko nung mga panahon na 'yon," Santos explained.

"Until now, we are really good friends kasi we try our best to be best of friends pa din," he added.

If given a chance, Santos said he would even sing at the actress' wedding.

"I'm more than willing to sing for her wedding. Iba naman ang pinagsamahan namin and we are still friends. Sobra akong masaya para sa kanya," Santos said.
