MANILA -- After their successful team-up in last year's "Merged" concert, Migz Haleco and Maya are taking their musical partnership to the recording studio.

On Monday, the two were introduced as the newest artists of Star Music, which will be releasing their first album together as an acoustic duo.

The album will feature popular love songs, including their covers of Yeng Constantino's "Ikaw" and "The Breakup Playlist" theme song "Paano Ba Ang Magmahal."

"Mga hugot naman," said Haleco, who was once a contestant on a TV talent search.

"We are very excited kasi first time namin. Sobra kasing magka-iba ang genre namin but itong album na ito ay nag-merge ang music namin and we are very excited na makita namin 'yung flavor namin ni Migz, yung nilagay naming flavor sa mga cover ng songs," said Maya, who was part of the pan-Asian girl group Blush.

"Mayroon ding mga original na songs, so we are very excited na madinig nila 'yung versions namin," added Maya, who is also known as Angeli Flores.
