A good many kids dream of living fairy-tale lives.

But as the trailer for "My Fairy Tail Love Story" shows, it's best to be careful what you wish for.

The romantic comedy stars Janella Salvador as a girl whose life is similar to that of a pampered princess.

She then wakes up one day as a mermaid unable to speak normally and can only sing her thoughts.

The plot sees her and her best friend, portrayed by Salvador's love-team partner Elmo Magalona, trying to figure out how to return her to normal.

The movie is produced by The Idea First Company for Regal Entertainment and is directed by Percival Intalan. It will be released in cinemas on Valentine's Day.
