MANILA - Coco Martin has recently been making headlines after he transformed into a stunning woman for ABS-CBN's "Ang Probinsyano."

In the recent episodes of the hit primetime series, the 36-year-old Martin as police officer Cardo had to disguise himself as a woman in an effort to bring down a prostitution ring masterminded by Olga (Gina Pareño).

"Sobrang hirap pero sabi ko nga nakaka-enjoy," the actor admitted when asked about portraying the alluring Paloma during a thanksgiving event for the success of both "Ang Probinsyano" and "Beauty and the Bestie" held Thursday.

Martin was also prodded for his inspiration regarding the role.

His portrayal has since garnered positive reaction from viewers, helping the series pass the 40 percent mark in terms of nationwide ratings for two days in a row, according to data from Kantar Media.

"Nakakatuwa, masarap sa pakiramdam," Martin shared when asked about the support he has been receiving.
