It's safe to say that Awra Briguela was the star of the premiere episode of the celebrity kids edition of "Your Face Sounds Familiar."
The child actor, known for his impressive comedic timing and stint on "Ang Probinsyano," had everyone in fits with his impersonation of Mommy Dionisia, the mother of Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao.
For his turn on the stage, Briguela sang Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" as Mommy D, spunk and all. The laughter began as soon as he emerged from the backstage, donning prosthetics and makeup that made him look like an eerily tiny version of Mommy D.
It continued when he started singing in Mommy D's patented raspy voice and broke out some ballroom-dancing skills, another thing the beloved mom is known for.
His hilarious performance left very little to criticize for the judges, but Gary Valenciano pointed out that he wanted to hear Briguela's "real singing voice" in future episodes.
Among the other performers of the night were Elha Nympha as Beyonce, Justin Alva as Michael Jackson, and Xia Vigor as Selena Gomez.
