On Instagram, the 21-year-old daughter of OPM icon Ogie Alcasid opened up about being in the process of embracing her "imperfections."

In the caption of Leila's photo taken by her mother, former beauty queen Michelle van Eimeren, the showbiz newcomer also referred to having "spotty skin" and "chubby body" as a source of problem. This, she said, ultimately seems trivial when seen with a new perspective.

She shared: "Spent the last few days taking photos of everyone else and running away when the camera was on me only to realise there are bigger things to worry about."

Leila was referring to photos she took of her family, including her siblings, parents, and their respective current spouses, while on New Year's Eve vacation.

Leila continued: "Having spotty skin or a chubby body filled up on travel and holiday food becomes such a small problem when we gain a little perspective.

"So I asked mum to take some photos of me, and at first I couldn’t even look at them without wanting to hide myself where no one could find me.

"But we all have imperfections and must embrace every part of ourselves in order to be truly content. I’m still in the process so here’s one of the photos as a baby step."
