MANILA - The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) on Saturday placed the Luzon power grid under a red alert status.

The highest power supply alert will be effective from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the NGCP said. The second-highest yellow alert, meanwhile, will be in effect from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
