MANILA - Jollibee said Wednesday it took down its delivery website temporarily after the government flagged "vulnerabilities" in the system that could expose user data.

Jollibee said it was "addressing the issues" raised by the National Privacy Commission and that the delivery websites of other brands were also taken down, except Burger King, which is on a different platform.

The country's largest fast food operating said it was investigating its system and checking security.

"With this, we will be able to facilitate faster online delivery system improvements and update security measures that will further strengthen data protection," Jollibee said.

"We assure the public that safeguarding the confidentiality of our customers’ personal data remains Jollibee Foods Corp’s priority," it said.

Last week, the NPC also ordered Wendy's Philippines to notify users affected by a breach on its website on April 23.
