MANILA - Ayala Corp said Wednesday its chairman emeritus, Jaime Zobel De Ayala, was honored by the Japanese government for his work in strengthening relations between the Philippines and Japan.

Zobel received The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star on April 29, Ayala Corp said in a statement.
