MANILA - The eldest son of billionaire Andrew Tan looks up to him for inspiration, as he learns the ropes in the family's business empire.

Kevin Tan, 37, says his father is the biggest influence in his journey.

'My dad is an inspiration,' the Alliance Global executive director and Megaworld senior vice president says without hesitation.

Though they do not always see eye-to-eye, the young Tan says his father is a "good listener."

He relishes his status as one of the few bosses in the country under 40 and the company has embraced the millennial generation.

"It does help in understanding how our key people think and how our people think in understanding the market for most of our product," he says.
