MANILA - Senate Committee on Banks, Financial Institutions and Currencies Chairman Chiz Escudero on Monday asked the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) to submit a complete report on the "faceless bills" incident last December.

Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Director for Banknotes and Securities Printing Department Mary Anne Lim estimated that about 50 faceless bills went out in circulation, 32 of which have been returned and are being investigated.

The BSP earlier said a "rare misprint" caused a "very minimal" amount of peso bills to be released with missing face designs.
