Barangay Ginebra coach Tim Cone sees PBA legend Robert Jaworski in Mark Caguioa.

In an interview on The Score, Cone said "The Spark" has a charisma similar to that of "The Big J."

"He reminds me so much of Sonny Jaworski... The thing in that era is Jaworski would come out, he would be a player-coach, he'd be 46-47 years old, the fans would be full house and they would be there for one thing, and that's so see him play," said Cone. "If he plays 30 seconds, 40 seconds, or a minute, they were delirious, they were happy."

"I've never seen that ever again, until Mark... If he plays 20 seconds, they're delirious. They just want to see him."

Ginebra, which recently won the PBA Governors Cup title, will be gunning for the All-Filipino crown when the PBA season opens next week.

Caguioa, however, played down the comparison, saying he wanted to emulate the attitude Jaworski instilled to the team.

"We both have that never-say-die attitude. We don't like taking things for granted when we're inside the court," he said. "You keep playing with the same intensity." -- The Score, ABS-CBN Sports, Mar. 4, 2020
