MANILA - Establishments like banks and post offices in South Korea will be selling face masks, amid rising cases of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) in the East Asian nation, a Filipina teacher there said Thursday.

Anne Campos, who teaches in Bucheon-si, said that starting Friday, various enterprises will sell face masks as the preventive measures are hard to find, even in online selling platforms where South Koreans usually buy from.

Campos, a mother of 2 children with a South Korean partner, said people there panicked after infections of COVID-19 there rose from around 30 on Tuesday to more than 1,000 on Thursday, leading to shortage of face masks.

"Nag-panic po talaga 'yung mga tao, mabilis po kasing kumalat," she said.
