President Duterte on Thursday renewed his verbal assault against the United Nations (UN) with a criticism of its alleged failure to stop international conflicts and wars.

"There used to be League of Nations before, it was in Hague something. Ito ang predecessor ng United Nations... Nothing happened, there's still war. United Nations, walang nagawa [sa] series of wars: Vietnam, Taliban," he said. "The killing is endless, the blood is splattering."

Claiming that the UN is "dominated by the US," Dutert added: "Kaya iyan ang leksyon natin, just because it is America, it does not mean that it is good."

In the same speech, Duterte also said he may be "the first" to join if ever China and Russia decide to create a "new world order"
