Senator Leila de Lima isn’t quitting Congress even as calls for her resignation were revived amid allegations linking her to drug-tainted money.

“Should I? Ako ang ginipit nila sa mga walang katuturang akusasyon nila, tapos ako ang magre-resign [I’m the one being pressured by their senseless accusations, yet I'm the one who should resign?],” De Lima said Thursday.

“I don’t want to speak further. Baka kung ano pang masabi ko, lalong magagalit iyang mga iyan [I might say something that will just enrage them further].”

Calls for De Lima’s resignation were renewed after convicted crime lords appeared at a House of Representatives inquiry and accused her of funding her 2016 senatorial bid with drug money.

President Duterte himself earlier told De Lima to resign and hang herself.
